ADVANTEC provided a staff member to work in the City Hall for 2-3 days a week to assist in traffic engineering assignments. Some of the assignments include:

  • Assisting residents on engineering requests at the front counter;
  • Coordinating with L.A. County to bring IEN online;
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with the City’s QuicNet 4 signal system;
  • Plan check of La Brea Street Improvement Project;
  • Coordination of grant applications;
  • Processing funding documentation with Caltrans, LACMTA;
  • Managing the QuicNet 4 traffic signal system;
  • Performing traffic signal warrant analysis;
  • Acting as expert witness on pending lawsuit;
  • Handling contractors’ enquiries on the construction sites; and
  • Assisting the Director of Public Works on all traffic engineering and transportation matters.
