ADVANTEC is pleased to announce the addition of its newest member to its staff – Mr. Dale Harvey is appointed Director of Business Development.

Mr. Harvey has been involved in the civil engineering business over 32 years in the southern California area. He is a graduate of San Diego State University, starting in the business working his way up through the ranks from a strong design background into management, operations, marketing, business development and ownership roles. Prior to joining ADVANTEC, Dale was the Principal and Deputy National Practice Director for Critigen where he focused on business planning and development for the divested group from CH2MHill. In his career he has served local, state and federal public clients as well as private enterprise clients in a variety of civil engineering management roles. His broad experience in the disciplines of planning, civil engineering and surveying as well as having been the client, allow him to be successful in understanding client expectations in professional business relationships in order to develop, monitor and achieve common project and business goals.

ADVANTEC Consulting Engineers is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Ed Miller, P.E., T.E. – Director of Civil Engineering.

Mr. Miller has more than 27 years of experience managing and designing transportation projects throughout Southern California and Arizona. Prior to joining ADVANTEC, Ed held the position of Vice President for KFM Engineering. His diverse consulting experiences have included conceptual and final design of freeways, arterial highways and local roadways, traffic engineering, quiet zones, railroad track design, grade separations and expert witness testimony. His work has encompassed all stages of project development from alignment studies, Caltrans PSR/PR, fact sheets to preliminary engineering and final plans, specifications and estimates.

Mr. Miller has also been involved with assisting the California Board of Professional Engineers on subject matter and test scoring for the California TE exam.
