Project Description:

ADVANTEC prepared the engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for construction of SCOOT detectors, advanced detectors, Model 2070N controllers and cabinets upgrade, CCTV cameras and an in-ground fiber optic and twisted-pair communications network to interconnect the traffic signals for five (5) major corridors within the City of Anaheim: Ball Road, State College Boulevard, Lincoln Avenue, Imperial Highway and Santa Ana Canyon Road.

Detailed design for CCTV cameras include the design of poles and foundations, video control equipment, tail circuits, and interconnect to the communications hub. CCTV camera images and PTZ control data were routed to the communications hubs. Single mode fiber optic (SMFO) is then used to route the CCTV images and control signals between the communications hub and the TMC.

Upon completion of construction, ADVANTEC also prepared as-built drawings for the entire project.
